Error: “FCB ‘EnableRegionalDisco’ is disabled”

If you are a Microsoft Dynamics 365 “Online” customer, you may receive this error:

“FCB ‘EnableRegionalDisco’ is disabled”

…when attempting to connect to Dynamics 365 online when using intelli-CTi.
This is due in part to Microsoft powering down some legacy services.

What’s happening?

Microsoft have now now phasing out their Regional Discovery services for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online) platform, in order to use their replacement Global Discovery service instead.

How does that affect me?

Existing 3rd-party applications, including current releases of intelli-CTi software, require a particular update in order to ensure compatibility with this change by Microsoft.

With existing versions of intelli-CTi for Microsoft Dynamics 365, you may receive the above error when attempting to create a new connection (and potentially for existing connections).

Even if you are not currently experiencing this error – we would highly recommend that users upgrade to our latest release of intelli-CTi™, especially if you are connecting to Dynamics 365 online.

What’s the solution?

We recently updated all our software to be compatible with these recent changes by Microsoft.

Please contact QWARE or your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Business Partner/Reseller to obtain a newer release.
